General concept of mastoptosis is when nipple is lower than the center part of the breasts. Due to aging, most skin and breast elasticity become weak and difficult to maintain its weight, and breast droops downward. This phenomenon may occur in innate cause or when the mammary gland goes back to its original state after the pregnancy and breast-feeding. In this case, mastoptosis breast surgery can change your breasts into attractive and elastic breasts.

Sagginess of breast is determined based on the level of nipple's location from the inframammary line. Normal location o the nipple is about 4~5cm from the inframammary line to upwards. There are 3 classifications to determine the level

• Class A
  When the nipple is down to the
  inframammary line less than 1cm.
• Class B
  When the nipple is down to the
  inframammary line less than 1~3cm.
• Class C
  When the nipple is down to the
  inframammary line more than 3cm.

If one's breast size is fair enough, either periareolar or vertical incision is done depending on the sagging level

If one's breast is small and sagging, slight sagginess can be improved with a normal breast augmentation. However, if it is moderate or severe sagginess, then surgery must be done with periareolar or vertical incision
